Biography

I initially joined ScHARR in March 2012 as Administrator for the NIHR School for Public Health Research (SPHR), a five year funded collaboration between eight leading academic centres in applied public health research.

I have previously worked in project management and senior administrative roles in the private, public and third sectors.  Most recently, I worked at Skills for Care, the employer led authority on the training standards and workforce development needs of social care staff in England.  My role as Project Officer supported the work of the Research, Policy and Workforce Innovation teams.  Prior to this I worked with a national educational charity, The Focus on Food Campaign, as a Project Manager, developing a range of community interventions aimed at encouraging healthy eating, promoting nutritional awareness and teaching practical cooking skills.

Current Activities

I am currently Manager for the NIHR School for Public Health Research (SPHR).  I work with the SPHR Director, Professor Jon Nicholl, to lead the operational management of the School, ensuring it achieves its objectives and communicates its findings effectively.
