Biography
I joined ScHARR as a Research Fellow in August 2010 working jointly as an advisor for the NIHR Research Design Service for Yorkshire & the Humber and a Proposal Developer for the Clinical Trials Research Unit. I also work part-time in the NHS as Locality Manager for South Yorkshire Hub of PCRN EMSY based in Sheffield.
Previously I have worked as a Specialist Research Nurse within the University of Sheffield and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. My research and clinical background is in mental health and substance misuse.
Research Interests
My research interests are within the field of mental health and substance misuse; with a particular focus on psychosocial determinants of behaviour change, drug treatment outcomes, drug related deaths and dual diagnosis. I also have experience in designing and delivering complex interventions, as well as the feasibility, design and recruitment to studies within primary care settings.
Professional Activities
I provide peer-review for the NIHR Research for Patient Benefit funding stream.
