Discovering Law Conference
Experience a day of discovery at The University of Sheffield on Thursday 28th June 2012
What is law?
Law influences us all every day. Try and think of one area where it doesn´t figure. Whether you´re buying a ticket, downloading something from the internet, or using a mobile phone, law protects and pervades your everyday life. Study law and you will equip yourself with an academic education sought after by the legal profession and many other employers.
The knowledge and skills you graduate with equip you for life with a first-rate legal understanding, communications skills, confidence to present your arguments well, and independence of thought.
How the discovery day will help you
| Competition for places to study law at university is fierce and law attracts many of the best and brightest students. Sheffield Law School at the University of Sheffield is one of the top law schools in the country, with a high reputation for both teaching and research. If you meet the criteria to attend you will see if law interests you, what it´s like to study law at university, and learn about some new and interesting subjects. There will be two workshops on different areas of law, the chance to meet professors and lecturers, as well as having the opportunity to question a solicitor and a barrister. Have your say in one of our debates and practice the art of arguing your point. |
