Welcome to the site for Sheffield Professionals, the home of all the different initiatives we are introducing to help ensure we value the talent of our professional staff. This new initiative is aimed at ensuring that all professional staff at the University of Sheffield play a vital role in developing our ambitions and are assisted to do this.

The Registrar and Secretary, Dr Philip Harvey sees this as vital to our future success and held a Registrar’s launch event for the initiative in November which was attended by over 100 professional staff from across professional services and each faculty. At the event we launched the concept of the Sheffield Professional which is a key part of the initiative. You can read more about the Sheffield Professional and get involved in its development on this site.

A key aim of our initiative is to improve links between different departments and encourage our professional staff to work across boundaries. The launch event was a brilliant networking opportunity, embraced by all involved and we want to develop this site to enable online networking, sharing of ideas and to celebrate our successes.
