Welcome to the site for Sheffield Professionals, the home of all the different initiatives we are introducing to help ensure we value the talent of our professional staff. This new initiative is aimed at ensuring that all professional staff at the University of Sheffield play a vital role in developing our ambitions and are assisted to do this.

The Registrar and Secretary, Dr Philip Harvey sees this as vital to our future success and has held two Registrar’s events, as well as speak at a number of departmental events, to publicise the initiatives. You can read all about these events, including Philip’s speeches on this site.

In November we launched the concept of the Sheffield Professional which is a key part of the initiative. You can read more about the Sheffield Professional and get involved in its development on this site.

A key aim of our initiative is to improve links between different departments and encourage our professional staff to work across boundaries. Our Registrar’s events have proved to be a brilliant networking opportunity, embraced by all involved and we want to develop this site to enable online networking, sharing of ideas and to celebrate our successes.
