What documents do I need to submit with my application?

If you are applying for our Certificate in University Foundation Studies, you will need to submit certified copies of your mark sheets or transcripts from your secondary education. If you are applying for our Graduate Diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from both your secondary and higher education, and a CV if relevant.

If you have an IELTS or TOEFL score you should also submit a copy of your certificate.

If your documents are not written in English you will need to provide an official translation.

What are your entry requirements?

There are different entry requirements depending on which programme you are applying for.

I do not have an IELTS or TOEFL test score. Can I still apply?

You will need to show proof of English language ability - usually an IELTS test (or equivalent). A higher IELTS score means your programme will be shorter and you can progress to Nottingham Trent University more quickly.

Do you offer distance learning?

No, all the courses are taught on the University of Sheffield's campus. You are required to attend 100% of your classes.

What is your application deadline?

There is no application deadline and we will, in some cases, accept applications up to the first day of enrolment.

However, we advise that you apply at least three months before the programme starts to give you time to prepare your move to the UK and to apply for your student visa. Applicants who apply and accept their offer early are eligible for Early Acceptance Discounts.

When can I expect to hear a decision on my application?

We will give you an application decision within two working days of receipt of a complete application. Please make sure you answer every question, sign your application form and submit all the necessary paperwork.
