Business Pathway Modules
Business and the Business Environment
This module introduces the general business environment, and reviews different types of business organisations and their operating environments. Issues of business ownership, culture and governance are also examined.
Business Enterprise
This module examines the concept of enterprise and the fundamental elements that comprise it. The module looks at how and why economic activity develops; the role that culture, structure and operative systems exert on businesses; how operations are carried out; and how to analyse the performance of businesses.
Introduction to Social Sciences
This module provides a broad introduction to the disciplines of anthropology, economics, political science, sociology, psychology, geography and history. The module also looks at the role these disciplines have in understanding society.
Law and Social Sciences Pathway
The Individual, State and Society
This module explores the philosophical, economic, political and social aspects of the relationship between the state and the individual in contemporary western society. Focusing primarily upon the UK and Europe, international comparisons will also be made.
Introduction to Legal Principles and Systems
This module equips students planning to study law, business or other social science subjects with a fundamental grounding in legal principles and systems.
Introduction to Social Sciences
This module provides a broad introduction to the disciplines of anthropology, economics, political science, sociology, psychology, geography and history. The module also looks at the role these disciplines have in understanding society.
Business and Mathematics Pathway
Applied Mathematics
Applied Mathematics further develops students' ability to solve open-ended problems by studying further calculus, exponential functions, logorithms and further trigonometry.
Foundation Mathematics
Foundation Mathematics explores the principles of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, vectors, differentiation and integration and their application in both pure and applied areas of mathematics to solve problems.

Psychology Pathway
Biological Science
This module enhances understanding of animal form and function, and essential knowledge about the reproduction, development and metabolism of animals. There is also an introduction to genetic and cellular principles and development, and immunology.
