Key Academic Skills
This module provides students with the learner development and independence skills which are required at postgraduate level. Students are expected to develop self-awareness and learner autonomy during this module.
Research Project
This module is designed to allow students to plan and undertake a research project relevant to their subject area.
Principles of Social Science
This module introduces students to the differences between the study of natural and social phenomena. It looks at debates about the validity and credibility that social science theories have as assertions about the nature of the social world we experience, and examines implications for social science research.
Research Design and Practice
This module develops students´ knowledge and skill in defining a research problem, and the process of designing a rigorous, feasible and trustworthy research project. Students also develop skills in research planning and management, and the ability to critique social science research.
