KIC Games 2011 – combining work with play!
The much awaited Annual KIC Games took place at Sheffield International College over the 13th & 14th of May 2011. SIC welcomed and organised accommodation for sportsmen and women from across all our colleges to two days of competitive fun.
Over two hundred students from our colleges in Bournemouth, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Nottingham and Manchester participated in a range of sports, including football, basketball, table tennis and badminton. Adrenalin ran high and competition was tough as the talented teams battled it out for the coveted trophy.
The teams were cheered on by students of our colleges and partner universities, staff from the colleges and our Head Office in London and also by a group of agents who were visiting us from around the world!
The KIC Games 2011 were a historic event of sorts for another reason as well. Sheffield International College, the champions of 2010 and the hosts of the 2011 Games emerged as the winners once again! Never before has a team retained the trophy for two years running and this was a momentous and proud moment for the SIC team.
Many congratulations to Team SIC for putting on a brilliant show and to all the other teams for giving us such stiff competition! Many thanks to all the staff and students who supported the Games and participated with such enthusiasm and in good spirit.
We look forward to welcoming everyone once again next year!
