To start with I need to underline that to date; it has been the best year of my life! I found the experience invaluable towards the degree program, as it allowed me to do something productive with the course and experience it being taught through a different culture with different perspectives (thus broadening my view on the subject). In addition it was an amazing opportunity to grow as a person and meet some amazing people from all over the world, and experience safely living and studying in a foreign culture. I loved every minute of it and would highly recommend doing it!"

Student "The department is one of the best in the UK. When I visited on the open day, everyone was very friendly and took the time to answer my questions and I liked the Elmfield Building as it has computer rooms, a common room, lecture theatre and seminar rooms all under one roof.

I’m really glad I chose the Social and Political Studies Honours degree at Sheffield because I find the subject really interesting and I’ve been able to get involved in the department by becoming a course representative. I feel at home in the city, the people are friendly and nearly everything is within walking distance of where I live."
