Student Administration

The Taught Programmes Office is responsible for central records management and processing for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students, and the associated update of their records on the Corporate Information System (CIS), including:

Student Change of Status: Administration and processing of changes to programme of study, withdrawals, leave of absence, extensions to time limit, repeat study etc.

Special Circumstances Forms and Medical Notes: Processing forms reporting student short-term absences due to medical and/or personal circumstances.

Study Abroad/Study in Industry: Administration and processing related to compulsory and non compulsory periods of study/work undertaken away from the University either overseas or within the UK.

Awards Documentation: Production of transcripts, replacement certificates, and diploma supplements on request. Verification of results/awards (by request) for employers, recruitment agencies and other external organisations.

Liaision with Sponsors: Provision of updated information to financial sponsors (Student Loans Company, Local Education Authorities, and NHS Bursaries Unit) related to changes in student status/attendance and periods abroad/in industry.
