Mental Health Advisers

The Mental Health (MH) Advisers are based within the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service, and work closely with the Mental Health Disability Adviser, as well as with members of other Student Services teams to support students with mental health difficulties.
The MH Advisers can support you at University if you are struggling with your mental health. This might mean looking at a package of support for you to ensure that you can fully participate in University life, or it might mean helping you to identify and reduce triggers that induce stress, or signposting you to other support services within and outside of the University. It could also involve helping you to assess how your mental health is impacting on your studies, and assisting you to monitor changes in your mental health.
The MH Adviser can support you at times of crisis, and can visit your department or University accommodation to offer support if appropriate. The MH Adviser is available to offer advice and training to University staff, in order that they can better support you and other students with mental health difficulties.
