What Support is Available for International Students?
Although overseas students, including EU students, are not eligible for Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs), it may still be possible for support to be put in place.
The University has established a fund for International and EU students to help to meet the related costs of studying with a disability.
The type of support that is available to international disabled students is dependent on the student's individual needs.
The most common types of support which the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service can offer international disabled students include:
- Alternative examination arrangements
- Loan of specialist equipment
- Extended library loans
In order to access this support it is important for you to make contact with the Disability and Dyslexia Support Service and meet with a Disability Adviser to discuss your support needs.
