Students with Mental Health Difficulties
Many people experience mental ill-health at some point in their life. Conditions may include anxiety states, panic attacks, longer periods of ill health, or formally diagnosed psychiatric conditions.
Support for students with Mental Health Difficulties may include:
- Support Workers, e.g. support and guidance mentor, note taker
- Specialist equipment, e.g. personal computer, scanner, specialist software, Dictaphone
- Alternative examination arrangements, e.g. extra time, use of a PC, separate exam room
- Flexibility with coursework deadlines
- Copies of lectures notes and handouts
