For students who commenced studies between September 2006 and September 2011
£1380
£3465
No eligible student (new or continuing) will have to pay tuition fees before or whilst studying. This is because you can apply for a tuition fee loan which you will not have to repay until you have graduated, have started work and are earning above a specified amount. If you decide not to apply for a tuition fee loan from Student Finance please be aware that you will have to pay your fee upfront, i.e. you cannot defer paying your tuition fee until after you have graduated. You can also apply for a maintenance loan (repayable) and a maintenance grant (non-repayable).
In addition to any financial support you get in the form of loans and grants, you could also be eligible for a University of Sheffield bursary, please see www.sheffield.ac.uk/bursaries
Students who have already completed an undergraduate degree
The Government recently announced that it would not be providing funding to universities for undergraduate students who have already completed an undergraduate degree. If you fall into this category please go to the download at the bottom of the page to read the University's policy
Note: Students from the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man who started before 2012
A higher rate of fee applies to students from the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. Please contact the relevant Island Education Board for further details and information on how to apply for funding.
