Welcome to the online application form for financial support.  Please make sure you have read the guidance we have provided on the following web page General Information before submitting your application.  Please note the form will take around 15 minutes to complete and you can not save your data part way through.  We will send you an e.mail confirmation on receipt of your application that will list the supporting evidence you are required to supply. 

Please Note: Undergraduate Students can only submit an application for financial support after they have applied for their full statutory support entitlement and received their first instalment.

Checklist of Evidence Required

Below is a checklist of evidence that you are required to supply after you have submitted your application. On receipt of your application we will send you a confirmation e.mail that will list the documentation you are required to provide. The deadline for submission of evidence is Friday 7th June 2013. *Incomplete applications will not be considered*. Please click on the evidence that you intend to submit.

Money Plan (required)

Go to the following website http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/undergraduate/finance/moneytools/moneyplanner and complete the money-planner. When you have done this please save your Money Plan by clicking on the 'Download PDF' button as you are required to submit this document.

Undergraduate & PGCE Student Finance Documents

Undergraduate & PGCE Students must provide their Student Finance Breakdown & Payment Timetable. The breakdown shows your statutory support entitlement and the payment timetable confirms the date of payment and the amount of loan requested.

Postgraduate, International & EU Students - Main Source of Income

e.g. Professional & Career Development Loan, Scholarships, Wages.

Home PGT Students - Evidence of full grant entitlement as an Undergraduate
All Students must provide Proof of Accommodation costs (required)

i.e. Rent Agreement or proof of Mortgage ANNUAL INTEREST payments: a certificate showing this can be obtained from your Bank/Building Society. Also include evidence of any Buildings Insurance.

All Students must provide proof of their financial situation (required)

i.e. Copies of 3 months' most recent consecutive up to date bank statements/bank ledgers listing transactions for EACH account you and your partner (if applicable) hold, a copy of your Building Society Book, 3 months' credit card statements etc. The statements must show your name and bank details - print outs from your online account are acceptable, mini statements are not.

Provide evidence of any part time earnings (where applicable)

i.e. Last 4 weeks wage slips

Provide evidence of your partner's income (where applicable)

i.e. Last 3 months pay slips, benefit awards/entitlements, grants or award letter etc...

Provide evidence of Inland Revenue notification of Child Tax Credit and/or Working Tax Credit awards (where applicable)
Provide evidence relating to travel and/or private vehicle costs (where applicable)
Provide evidence of benefits (where applicable)
Provide evidence to support any exceptional circumstances that you identified in your statement
Provide evidence relating to a disability you have declared (where applicable)
Provide evidence of your childcare costs (where applicable)

Confidentiality

Applications are only seen by Student Services Staff and the Financial Help Advisory Panel, if necessary. In some cases it may be necessary for additional supporting evidence to be sought by yourself from other university staff in order for the Panel to reach a decision.

The data requested in this form is covered by the notification provided by the University under the Data Protection Act.
