When and where can I get it?
You will be issued with your HEAR in three ways:
- As a static electronic document (PDF) when you complete your course, to summarise all your university achievements. You will be able to access this via a secure online system and give others (e.g. employers) permission to view your HEAR as well.
- As an internal electronic document on MUSE during your time at Sheffield, so you can see it grow as you progress through your course and use your HEAR to plan for your continuing development.
- As a static electronic document (PDF) at various points before you graduate, via the same secure online system that will be used to issue you with your final HEAR. This will allow you to share results and achievements that have already been verified as you begin to apply for internships, jobs or further study. These 'interim HEARs' will begin to be issued from the end of 2013-14 onwards, when more information will be published about the frequency of these HEARs will also be made available.
How to access your Internal HEAR
If you are an undergraduate student and you started your studies in or after September 2012, you can access your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) electronically via MUSE by clicking on either:
a) My services -> View all services -> HEAR (New UG Students Only)
b) My services -> View all services -> myResults -> View your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR).
Your HEAR will be updated as you progress through your course, so you can your achievements as they build up, including examination results and extra-curricular activities and awards that you complete.
PLEASE NOTE: When examination results are published you MUST access your online results statement in myResults BEFORE viewing your HEAR, to obtain important information about what to do next to continue your studies.
