You will have one further opportunity to re-sit your examination(s) in the next academic session. Your student visa should be valid to October 2011.
There are four ways in which you may re-sit your examinations and each option will effect your immigration status in a different way:
- Re-sit module(s) as an external student in both autumn and spring semester
If you do this then you must return to your home country. The autumn examination period will start in January 2012. UKBA regulations do not allow for those in the UK on a student visa to remain in the country if the gap between the start of the semester and re-sit examination exceeds 60 days. You must leave the UK before your current visa expires and apply for a new visa to return for the resit. After re-sitting exams in the autumn examination period you will need to return home and come back to the UK for the spring examination period that will start in May 2012.
Alternatively, you can contact Registry Services to ask if the exams can be taken in your home country.
