Passport Return

This information has been checked but is for guidance only. The University cannot accept responsibility for its accuracy nor for its applicability in individual cases

1. Passports and ID Cards are usually ready for collection in 12 - 15 weeks.

2. Requests for further information (if any) will be directed to Student Support and Guidance.

3. Information about referral to another section of the UKBA (if any) will be given to Student Support and Guidance. This will lead to a much longer processing time.

4. Student Support and Guidance Staff will contact students (by telephone or email) to notify them of any of the above.

5. When the passport, ID Card and other documents are returned to Student Support and Guidance, they will be stored in a strong room. Students must collect in person, bringing their U-Card for ID.

6. If you have urgent travel plans, you must tell a member of staff when submitting your application.

7. Student Support & Guidance will take a scanned copy of your passport and ID card before returning this to you. Under the Points Based System the University must keep a scanned copy of your passport and ID card. These copies will be saved securely.
