Extending your visa in your home country
You can apply to extend your visa in your home country if you are a current student and need more time to complete your course or if you hold a current student visa and are progressing to a new course.

3. Tuberculosis screening
Check whether you need to be screened for tuberculosis (TB) before applying for a visa by reading the most up-to-date information issued by UK Visas - www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/tbscreening
If you do need a TB certificate, carry the certificate in your hand luggage when you travel to the UK.
