Replacement Degree Certificates
Graduates of the University of Sheffield who have lost their degree certificates may apply for a Replacement Degree Certificate at a fee of £30 or a Confirming Letter.
Delivery Timescales:
- Replacement Certificates take approximately 15 working days to prepare.
- Airmail delivery to other parts of the world can take up to 10 working days.
- If information requested relates to period prior to 1995, the certificate may take up to six weeks to process from archived records.

Confirming Letter
A Confirming Letter is an official document produced by The University of Sheffield to prove your attendance and course of study with us. The letter is printed on watermarked, University headed note paper and includes the official stamp of the University and the signature of the Registrar.
