Undergraduate Students repeating a period of study
Request permission to attend to repeat a period of study on a full-time or part-time (with attendance) basis.
If you wish to explore this possibility, you will need some information before deciding:
Will my academic departments agree to me repeating?
- Consult your department(s) soon after receiving your results.
Will my sponsor provide funds for repeating?
- UK (or EU) students should not assume that an Authority, the Student Loan Company or the DfES will authorise support for repeat study.
What would it cost if I have no support?
- Full-time: Full tuition fee at the appropriate rate.
- Part-time: Tuition fee at the appropriate rate.
- Overseas Rate: pro rata the full-time fee e.g. £1321 for a Science/Engineering module of 10 credits.
What do I do if I have been given permission to repeat examinations only, ie not attend lectures?
External Candidate: (without attendance) please visit the following website to apply online:
www.shef.ac.uk/ssid/exams/reassessment.html
What do I do if I have completed a Change of Status form and have been given permission to repeat all/some of my modules by attending lectures and examinations?
