Balancing being a Student and a Parent

Juggling studies with parenting responsibilities can be challenging. In any year, there are around 1000 student parents registered at Sheffield. Though this is a significant number, being a student parent can be an isolating experience.
Where can I find more information for Students with Children?
The "Student with Children" web pages may be of use to any student or who has caring responsibilities for dependants under the age of 18.
Are children allowed in the Students´ Union building?
Children are allowed in all areas of the Students´ Union, except Bar One (including the Raynor Lounge and Pool Room).
Do you have accommodation for couples and families?
Here at the University of Sheffield, we have a range of accommodation for student couples and families. We understand that bringing your family with you to study is a big decision and we’ll do all we can to offer advice and guidance
Where can I find Nursey and Childcare Services?
The Union Nursery offers full day care for the children of students of the University of Sheffield, aged 6 months to 5 years. Places are offered on a sessional basis, which can be any combination of mornings, afternoons or full days.
