Mature Students Committee

The Students' Union exists to provide students with support, services, activities and representation. It is run by students, including eight elected officers who work full time for a year and many volunteers who participate in the Students' Union Council. The role of the Council is to guide the work of the officers, and run various committees.

Mature students are represented through both a Mature Student Committee and a Students' Union Councillor.

The Mature Student Committee ensures that the views of mature students are heard as well as organising social events for mature students. We hope to ensure that mature students get the most out of their time at University and that they are represented in all aspects of student life.

Students´ Union Council

The Mature Student representative will be required to attend Council meetings twice a month. These meetings hold the Union Officers to account and set Union policy. The Mature Student Councillor will also sit on the Mature Students Committee.

There will be elections to Students Union Council in October so look out for the publicity.
