Preparing for Graduation
Examination Results
Please be sure that your address is up-to-date since results will be sent to your home address unless you have specified a correspondence address. You will be sent a statement of results once your degree has been awarded (usually early December). SSiD cannot issue documents, such as transcripts, stating successful completion before this time.
Debt Checking
University Regulations state that the award of a qualification cannot take effect until four weeks after a student has paid all monies due to the University. Students´ records are checked prior to making graduation arrangements. Debts could include tuition fees, accommodation fees, overdue library books and library fines, sundry debts/field course contributions, loans from the University (including equipment), and any other monies due to the University. Any student who has outstanding debts to the University will have their degree withheld and will not be eligible to attend a degree ceremony.
Ceremony Details
Students are expected to submit their intentions regarding their graduation ceremony before results are published. If not attending the ceremony, you can receive your certificate within 4 weeks of the ceremony taking place provided you have completed and returned your ceremony reply form and your mailing address is up to date. Look for important emails regarding your graduation ceremony details.
