An audience with Google
Representatives from Google will be visiting the University on 11 July to tell staff more about the range of services now available to them.
The Google presentation is one of a suite of training and support events provided to support the migration to Google Calendar and the full implementation of Google Apps for Education.
For more information on the Google presentation and to reserve a place, see: http://www.shef.ac.uk/cics/calendar/lectures
The Google presentation will be delivered in the Dainton Building, lecture theatre 1.
This is an exciting opportunity to meet the pioneers of modern search technology and cloud-based services. As part of the presentation they will be talking about the future roadmap for Google, why they offer services for free, how services interact with each other, the benefits for staff and students and data security and recovery.
In addition to the Google presentations CiCS are offering introductory and advanced courses in Google Calendar as well as a series of quick demonstrations to get you up and running as quickly as possible. For more information and to reserve, see: www.shef.ac.uk/cics/calendar/training
