TILL moves to new home
From 11 April, 2011, The Institute for Lifelong Learning (TILL), which together with the Department of Educational Studies forms the School of Education, will be sharing the same premises on Glossop Road behind the Students' Union and the Octagon Centre.
The postal address will be 388 Glossop Road, Sheffield S10 2JA. There is no change in telephone numbers and electronic addresses.
The Institute for Lifelong Learning opens up the resources of the University to people who may not otherwise have considered becoming a student. It enables people with work, family or other commitments that prevent them from studying full-time during the day to study for Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees on a part-time basis in the evenings and at weekends.
The Institute offers University qualifications in subjects across the arts, humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. It specialises in enabling people of all backgrounds to succeed at University and is committed to helping adult learners achieve their potential.
The move to Glossop Road means that TILL is now more fully integrated within the School of Education, and there is far easier student access to the University campus.
The Institute will continue to offer the same range of part-time degrees and certificates it has been offering in the last few years (for details of 2011-2012 part-time awards go to: http://www.shef.ac.uk/content/1/c6/08/62/05/tuos_till.pdf).
Details of the courses for general interest as part of the Courses for Everyone programme will be available from the end of May.
