You’ll find a healthy, warming lunch on campus thanks to the café makeover

Staff working in a campus cafeJust in time for the cold snap, the transformation of eating places at the University should make picking a good spot for lunch a little bit easier.

Our colleagues in Accommodation & Commercial Services (ACS) have been working hard this summer to transform all our cafés giving each one a personal look and feel. Fresh new menus have been designed for each outlet and there are plans for quarterly promotional campaigns to showcase their seasonal menus.

“We can’t wait for you to sample the new look and fresh new menus, our bespoke Coffee HoUSe blend, food you’ll love and an atmosphere you won’t want to leave,” said Pat McGrath, Director of ACS.

Brand new places to eat include:

Collect discount vouchers

Look out for a series of events across the venues where you can try a slice of the new menus and collect discount vouchers. For a full list of the venues click here.

New It’s GeniUS Card replaces eatwithUS reward card

The new It's GeniUS Card is now available. It works as a reward card, earning you five points for every pound spent. Each point is worth one penny and points can be spent in any of the venues. Simply pick one up at any of the outlets.

If you already have an eatwithUS card you can continue to use this in all of the venues, and the It’s GeniUS terms and conditions will now apply to your existing card. You can read them here.

The eatwithUS Hospitality Card

The eatwithUS Hospitality Card will continue to branded as eatwithUS for now.

Why the change to It’s GeniUS?

Pat McGrath explained: “I’m delighted to announce the new and improved offer at the ACS food and retail outlets, the outcome of a major project where we have taken huge strides to develop our retail provision.

“Since April 2013, we’ve been working with the Holman Group to make some major improvements to our retail outlets. We carried out research on all of the individual outlets and listened to customer feedback taken from a survey earlier this year. The Holman Group brought their high street expertise to the project, as well as their experience of working with well-known brands and contract caterers such as O'Neill's, All Bar One and Searcy's.

“This is a big job so please bear with us while we go through the process of updating all our venues. We’re trying to keep any structural changes to the venues until Christmas time, so as to keep any disruption to your daily activities to a minimum.”
