Student Services
The Staff Survey uncovered some issues around career progression and training within Student Services.
Debs Fowler, Head of Outreach and UK/EU Recruitment consulted with staff on the survey results to better understand the issues, before implementing a number of action points to remedy the issues.
Actions include:
- Coaching and Mentoring sessions arranged in conjunction with the Staff Development team
- Career Planning and Development sessions
- Work shadowing opportunities for staff to gain a flavour of work outside their particular role.
- Mentoring – staff are able to request a mentor to help better understand what others do, but also for skills development.
