The Faculty of Science comprises the seven departments that cover the classical science subjects of maths, physics, chemistry, biology and psychology. Our mission is to understand ourselves, our world, and its place in the universe.

Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology will be running a pulse survey as a follow-up to the 2012 Staff Survey. Chris Jones, Lecturer in Social and Environmental Psychology says:

“We feel the last survey was conducted at a time when staff morale here was particularly low. We were facing a possible move to new premises and we were considerably understaffed. Since the survey, there has been substantial improvement within our department and the threat of the move to new premises seems much more distant. As such, we feel that the responses to the initial survey may not be indicative of current feeling within the department."

The pulse survey will be a shortened version of the Staff Survey and will run shortly after Easter 2013.
