The 301 Student Skills and Development Centre is now open

We are delighted to announce that the 301 Student Skills and Development Centre is now open to staff and students.
The launch of 301 marks the completion of a lengthy refurbishment process which has seen the former staff development unit at 301 Glossop Road transformed into a modern, flexible teaching space.
301 brings together a number of student-facing academic skills and support services including foreign language provision, the 'Languages for All' programme, English Language support, Maths and Statistics Help, Dyslexia Support and The Support Worker Service (DDSS).
Alongside the existing services, 301 will also deliver a practical programme of study skills workshops for all University of Sheffield students as well as a daily study skills drop-in session.
The hour long workshops will cover topics including:
- time management
- working in groups
- performing well in seminars and tutorials
- presentation skills
- exam technique
- exam revision planning
- understanding assessment criteria.
Staff and Student Launch Weeks
Over the coming weeks we will be inviting staff and students to come and see how the building has been transformed. There will be a chance to meet the services located in the building and talk to different service providers about the support that will be available for students and staff. Details along with times and dates will follow.
