301, the Student Skills and Development Centre, will open in Semester 2 2012/13.

Preparation for the launch of the new Centre is ongoing, and you can find out about our plans and progress below.

Building project news

We have decided on the fixtures and fittings for the Centre. Come along to our launch events in February 2013 and have a look around

We've are also been working with Eleven Design on how we visually promote our services. We've developed a brand identity and we will be distributing promotional materials to departments soon.

Staffing news

  • We have now appointed Dale Griffin as our first student intern for our On CampUS placement. Dale will work on student communications and launch activities.
  • We will be advertising more student intern positions very soon via myVacancies.

301 events and activities

  • Student and staff launch events will take place in early 2013.
  • Our academic skills development sessions are now confirmed. We'll be offering at least one workshop a day during term-time on:Photo of classroom presentation

  2. Working in groups
  3. Performing well in seminars/tutorials
  4. Presentation skills
  5. Exam technique
  6. Exam revision planning
  7. Understanding assessment criteria

  • We will also offer 2-hour study skills drop-in sessions every week day. Further details will be posted here soon.
