MA IDP student Luke Taylor wins JR James prize!

MA IDP student Luke Taylor has won this year’s JR James travel bursary. The prize of £500 is awarded to enhance ‘students’ experience, and to widen horizons’ in memory of the late Professor JR James. Luke submitted a robust application to travel to Jamaica, his father’s homeland, to examine informal housing in the town of May Pen. 35.7% of Jamaicans live informally and Luke will consider the viability of ‘land titling’ for improving squatting conditions. The Department of Town and Regional Planning would like to congratulate Luke on his fantastic achievement.
