TRP Liaison Committee

The TRP Liaison Committee first met in 1980 with the purpose of facilitating dialogue between the Department and the practitioner community with aim of advising us on the future direction of the Department's activities both in relation to teaching and research. The Committee meets annually, receiving a report and a series of presentations about the Department's work and the current context of higher education. Over the years the advice and guidance received has made a significant contribution to the strategy of the Department. The membership of the committee is a combination of academic staff from the Department and a wide range of practitioners from both the public and private sectors. Usually meetings are attended by around 30 members.
