You'll use your creativity, empathy and analytical skills to create improved living environments for thousands of people. And as one of the UK's top town planning schools, we'll give you the ideal preparation.

Planners don't spend their whole lives at desks or in meetings. They go out into communities, ask questions, interact, understand, and get a feel for places and cultures.

Join us and you'll help make better places. Safer, more attractive and sustainable places, where people can live better lives.

Location, population, co-operation

Our staff offer an 'open door' approach to student support. They're also committed to giving prompt and positive feedback on all your work.

Sheffield is one of Britain's biggest urban areas, and undergoing major regeneration projects, it's also the only major city to include National Park land within its boundaries. As well as a great place to live, it's a fascinating place to see planning in action. Study here and you can watch both urban and rural planning projects unfold before your eyes.
