BA Landscape Architecture with Planning (UCAS code K3K4)

The Landscape Architecture with Planning course is the first dual honours course in the UK to bring together these two related disciplines. The course is taught jointly with the Department of Landscape which, like Town and Regional Planning is officially rated excellent for its teaching and rated 5A for its research of national and international repute.

It offers the opportunity to combine knowledge and skills in these two complementary areas through a carefully-selected suite of the modules offered by the two departments. The course aims to train people for a central role in the planning, design and management of urban and rural environments.

By combining a thorough training in landscape design with a full appreciation of urban development and the planning process, the course has been structured to produce landscape designers with a clear understanding of the problems and opportunities facing the regeneration of urban and rural landscapes.

The three year BA degree may be followed by a year out in practice before returning for a one year postgraduate Diploma accredited by the Landscape Institute in either Landscape Architecture or Landscape Management.

Further enquiries on this course should be addressed to the Department of Landscape, who are responsible for admissions.
