Director of Human Resources

Mr Andrew Dodman

Andrew was appointed Director of Human Resources on the 1 April 2011 and is responsible for leading the University's staffing and employment strategy, which includes HR services, organisational development, equality & diversity, staff health & well-being, training & development and employee relations.

Andrew joined the University in 2004 and spent four years as the Deputy Director of HR. Before moving to Sheffield, Andy was the Group HR Manager for a large national charity/housing association and prior to that held several HR positions in the NHS. Andy was educated at the University of Bath (BSc) and the University of Leeds (MBA) and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).

Andrew is married with two young children. When not working or at home he will almost certainly be out running, hill scrambling or at the gym.
