
Corporate Policy Adviser
Ms Sally Green
Sally is Corporate Policy Adviser, based in the Office of the Registrar and Secretary. Her role involves advising the Vice-Chancellor and members of UEB on aspects of policy and strategic development, and involvement in University-wide projects. She works closely with the Vice-Chancellor to co-ordinate and manage the flow of UEB business, and acts as Secretary to the UEB.
Prior to her current post, Sally was seconded to the Government Department for Education and Skills for a year to work on the Schwartz Review of Admissions to Higher Education. Previously, she headed the University's Corporate Planning Office for four years, following posts involved with strategic planning and working in the Vice-Chancellor's Office. She joined the University of Sheffield in 1990, having started her career in local government followed by two years working at Sheffield City Polytechnic (now Sheffield Hallam University).
Sally is an alumna of the University of Sheffield, where she studied Prehistory and Archaeology as an undergraduate and postgraduate.
Sally works part-time and is usually in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Her personal interests include gardening, travel, learning Italian, and walking.
