Physics: work and study

Trying to decide between work or university? Why not do both?

You can now choose an exciting new route to a physics degree, thanks to a special collaboration between the University of Sheffield and the Open University (OU).

Under the new scheme you can gain a physics degree by studying for two years part-time with the OU, followed by two years full-time with the University of Sheffield.

Students start the scheme by joining the OU with no formal qualifications and progression to the University of Sheffield is then conditional upon successful completion of the OU studies.
