Sheffield - a city you'll love
Home to two universities with more than 40,000 students, Sheffield is one of the country's most popular student destinations. Home Office figures show Sheffield to be one of England's safest cities.
Our new students quickly feel at home around our campus. They soon discover the atmosphere of academic achievement, a safe and friendly city environment, stunning countryside and a vibrant social scene.
Where is Sheffield?
One of the locals
We have a city-based campus, which means student life is very much integrated with day-to-day life and the local community.
The campus spreads out from the city for about a mile, with the University sitting on the south-west side of the city centre.
Relaxed and friendly
Sheffield's known for being relaxed and friendly and it doesn't take long before you know your way around. The advantages of spending your student years here are obvious from the moment you start to explore. Culture, entertainment, a colourful social life - everything you would expect from a major city is here.
