Rooms and stalls are available for students to book during term-time. All rooms and equipment are free of charge to Union-recognised societies and clubs except the Auditorium, where a hire charge applies. To make your booking visit the room bookings office with a current room booking card, available from the Source desk on level 3.

Meeting rooms
The Union has five meeting rooms on level 4, available for hire between 9:00am and 10:00pm during termtime. All rooms have disabled access.
- Pennines: Seats 14 persons (approx)
- Moors: Seats 12 persons (approx)
- Peaks: Seats 24 persons (approx)
- Dales: Seats 24 persons (approx) - Temporarily closed due to building work
- Satpal Ram Learning Centre: Seats 28 persons (approx) - Temporarily closed due to building work
(additional facilities: PC on network, VHS / DVD Equipment, OHP, slide & data projector)
Event rooms
Raynor Lounge
Available to hire from Monday to Saturday throughout termtime, the Raynor Lounge is an intimate venue situated just off Bar One. With a capacity of 180 persons (approx), its own bar, sound equipment and security, it's the ideal place for smaller socials, celebrations and specialist club nights. A late bar may also be available - ask for more details.
Auditorium
The Union's 390 capacity Auditorium is also available for hire to societies and external companies. For more information please call room bookings on 0114 222 8554.
Student stalls
Want to promote your student society, club or campaign? Get a message across as soon as people step into our building by hiring one of our three stalls situated in the Union foyer. (Audio / visual equipment is not permitted).
- Stall 1 - opposite Reception.
- Stall 2 - opposite Union Shop.
- Stall 3 - trophy cabinet.
To book your stall visit our room bookings department with your current room booking card (available from the Source desk on level 3). Stalls are allocated on a first-come first-served basis and societies/clubs are restricted to five bookings only per term plus one stall only on any one day.
