IVFDF 2013 SHEFFIELD - FOLK DANCE AND MUSIC FESTIVAL
SHEFFIELD UNIVERSITY CEILIDHSOC AND THE STUDENTS’ UNION
FRIDAY 1-SUNDAY 3 MARCH
The Festival consists of folk dance and music: ceilidhs, Scottish dance, contra, concerts, workshops, craft fairs, and displays. The aim is to encourage more people into folk and has lots of introductory/instructional workshops. It has been running since 1951 and is hosted by a different university each year. In 2013, for the record-breaking 8th time, it will be hosted by Sheffield.
