Sheffield Health and Care Partnership sandpit on 'Innovative technologies to assist the health and care workforce open for registration'

Sheffield Health and Care Partnership sandpit on Innovative technologies to assist the health and care workforce open for registration.

12th September, Inox Dine 4-7pm

The Health & Care Partnership is a collaboration between the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust which has been established to build a stronger collective position on health research and maximise innovation with the regional health and care system.

Across the health and social care system, there is a recognition that the workforce are under increasing pressure. The NHS Long term plan identified the importance of ensuring staff are making the most of their skills and expertise: “We need to work at national and local levels to put in place changes that remove wasted time and irritating tasks, so that staff are able to focus on patient care.”

The partnership is funding a round of pilot projects focused on ‘Innovative technologies to assist the health and care workforce’. A sandpit event will be held on 12th September at Inox Dine from 4-7pm to facilitate new collaborations around this theme. You are warmly invited to attend the event where the Health & Care Partnerships is keen for groups to form who can then apply for pump priming funds (deadline 10 October 2019).

Further information about the event and funds are available from Liz Philpots, Health & Care Partnerships Manager (Partnerships and Regional Engagement, e.m.philpots@sheffield.ac.uk / e.philpots@shu.ac.uk)

This event is open to researchers, clinicians, technologists, innovators and those in healthcare operational management positions from across institutions in Sheffield who would like to explore the theme.
