A civic university

We've trained over 800 advanced apprentices at our AMRC Training Centre.

Our social and public responsibility is integral to our University – to our education, research and partnerships.

In the spotlight: Apprenticeships

Our AMRC training centre trains young people in an advanced environment where planes, trains and supercars are designed and built. We also employ talented apprentices in departments across the University.

City centre vibrancy

Our University and our city are overflowing with ideas. We celebrate those ideas through creative projects that bring the city and University together.

Public health

Our students, medical research centres and specialist clinicians work with partners to advance health quality and improve patient care in and around Sheffield. In one project, researchers sought children’s opinions about spatial aspects of hospitals.
