Post at Ranmoor/Endcliffe & City

LETTERS, PACKAGES AND PARCELS

There are letterboxes for each property so you should arrange for the post to be delivered to you direct, e.g. Froggatt B7, Room 10, 21 Endcliffe Crescent, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S10 3AH.

Please make sure you provide your full address, including your flat and building, for all post and parcel deliveries, to ensure all delivery companies are able to successfully deliver your items.

Parcels that are suspected to include hazardous or illegal items will not be accepted.

The only exception is if you live in accommodation at Crewe or Bishops House.  As there are no letterboxes, please address all post to The Edge with your name and flat number, for example:

Upon receipt, Customer Services will email you to confirm you have an item for collection, please bring your UCard when collecting post for identification purposes.

RANMOOR/ENDCLIFFE & CITY

Customer Services at The Edge are unable to accept parcels for Ranmoor/Endcliffe or City residences and all couriers will try to deliver parcels directly to the resident only. If it is not possible to make the delivery, a missed delivery card will be left by the courier.

WHEN YOU’VE MOVED OUT

All post received once you’ve moved out is returned to sender. To avoid this happening, you’ll need to inform the Post Office of your new address.

Post at Allen Court

ALLEN COURT HAVE AMAZON LOCKERS.

You will be able to collect their parcels from the lockers 24/7 if you have selected to use the lockers when making your purchase.

What is Amazon Locker delivery?

Amazon Locker is a self-service parcel delivery service offered by online retailer Amazon.com. Amazon customers can select any

Locker location as their delivery address, and retrieve their orders at that location by entering a unique pick-up code on the Locker touch screen.

“Select” a Locker location to add it to your address book, and next time you add an item to your basket, click “Dispatch

to this address” to have it delivered to your favourite locker. Once your parcel is delivered to the Amazon Locker, you’ll receive an e-mail with instructions and a unique pick-up code.

LETTERS, PACKAGES AND PARCELS

Allen Court can accept packages and parcels on your behalf, which will be stored for you to collect, with the exception of passports, which residents must make their own arrangements for. The team will let you know that you have an item to collect from reception by emailing you.

Small packages will be placed straight into your post box, large parcels will be processed at reception and you will receive an email when this is ready for you to collect.

Please ensure packages are addressed to you at your apartment, not to reception.

Please note that Allen Court holds no responsibility for lost or incorrectly posted parcels/letters.

Post to St. Vincent's

There are post boxes located in the Church, which will be used for delivery letters. Unite will collect your parcels for you, and you’ll receive an email when one arrives, or check your MyUnite app.

Pop down to reception during opening hours with some photo ID to collect it.

Post to Studio 300

Postboxes are located outside the studios. You will need to arrange directly with your courier for the delivery of larger items.

Internet at Ranmoor/Endcliffe & City

All accommodation in Ranmoor/Endcliffe includes internet access. If you’ve already registered online at www.sheffield.ac.uk/registration, then you should have your University log in details. You can use these to access the internet.

100MB/s of internet usage is included in your rent. Allen Court has WIFI in all study bedrooms and the Common
Room.

Personal wireless access points are not permitted within your accommodation, as these will interfere with the internal network and cause disruption to the service for you and others.

Internet at St. Vincent's

Your accommodation includes up to 70MB Wi-Fi, provided. You will need to register an account online before you can get connected. Are you a gamer? Or stream live TV on a regular basis? You can upgrade to faster internet speed and benefit from up to 100Mbps and unlimited downloads, for more information check out “Getting online” on the Unite website.

Internet at Studio 300

All studios will have a Smart TV included in the rent. The internet speed will be 50mb/s and full details of the internet connection will be provided upon arrival. If you have any issues with your internet please contact The Edge Customer Services.
