ACSE's Culture and Ethics
At the heart of our department are the people who make our inspirational teaching and outstanding research happen. These pages explain our culture and ethics, and outline the ways we work together to make ACSE an outstanding place to work and study. We aim to promote access to degree courses, training, mentoring and career opportunities so that all our students and staff are able to reach their full potential, irrespective of their backgrounds or life-issues such as Parenthood & Caring responsibilities and Disability.
When new staff join the ACSE team we do everything we can to support them settling in. There are a number of departmental resources and University-wide initiatives in place to support induction, networking and career development.
Our students get support throughout their degrees from our dedicated staff. The students also take the lead in organising events and activities through their student societies, and taking opportunities to speak out about what's important to them.
