Biography

Dr. Kim is a Research Associate working in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering. His work focuses on deep learning for traffic flow prediction for large scale systems. He also has interests in data fusion, unmanned aircraft systems, terrain-referenced navigation, informative path planning, and Bayesian filtering techniques.

Youngjoo holds a Master's (2013) and Ph.D. (2018) degrees in Aerospace Engineering, both awarded by Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Working with Aerospace Systems and Control Lab. in KAIST, he coordinated hardware/software development in the unmanned aircraft team and studied informative path planning and control of mobile sensors, terrain-referenced navigation with various sensors, and measurement ambiguity in Bayesian filtering methods.
