Research

Biography

I am a food lover and researcher in food security - with a particular interest in creating algae-based biofertilizers from algae harvested from nutrient-rich water bodies.
The central thrust of my research project is to review the nature and properties of algae with the goal of gaining better mechanistic insight into the likely biomolecular, structural and phylogenetic controls on the functional benefits of different major groups of aquatic and marine algae in nutrient recycling and soil quality enhancement in arable soils.

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2011 with a BSc in Environmental Science and a year later gained an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
