Vice-President for Education Forums
The Vice-President for Education, Professor Wyn Morgan, holds a range of events throughout the year which offer an opportunity for staff to discuss current learning and teaching priorities, tackle problems and explore potential future developments.
The first forum was held on 31st March 2016 and a duplicate event was run on 12th April 2016 due to high demand for places at the event. The Forums are exceptionally popular with staff and do fill up quickly. We aim to provide as many places as possible and where feasible will run duplicate events where necessary.
Topics which have been covered at previous Forum events include:
- student numbers
- VLE review
- the Teaching Excellence Framework
- programme level approaches
- feedback best practice
- accessibility and inclusivity of assessments
- elite athlete academic flexibility
- transitions and support for progression
- lecture capture
- peer observation
- transferable skills
Dates of further Forum events are listed below. Registration for each Forum will open around eight weeks prior to the event, and a sign up link will then be included below.
