Learning and teaching priority: Student Voice

Project outline:

The aim of this project was to explore student-staff partnerships in learning, teaching and assessment and to develop approaches that can effectively incorporate the student voice.

The team's solution has been to introduce a well-advertised mascot system which will act as a front for each department's student representatives. With this, it is hoped that the effectiveness of representatives will be increased by providing a forum for dialogue and establishing a sense of community.

Learning and teaching priority: Why Arts and Humanities?

Project outline:

The aim of the project was to articulate the value of an Arts and Humanities degree in today’s society. The SALTs completed a project to answer the question ‘Why a degree in Arts and Humanities?’ through engaging with current students and alumni.

The SALTs explored different dimensions of the value of the Arts and Humanities and created an online resource suitable for 6th form students and 1st year undergraduates.
