Graduates of the last four decades return for Centenary Dinner

Alumni who graduated after 1964 returned to the University for a Special Centenary Dinner in Firth Hall on Saturday 29 October.

Over 100 alumni and guests attended the event and heard the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bob Boucher, speak about the successes of the last 100 years and the University’s plans for the future.

Music was provided by the Pisgah Quartet (of current music students) who played throughout the evening.

People travelled from all over the United Kingdom – and even from as far as Greece – to attend, and for several guests this was the first time they had returned to Sheffield since graduation. The last guests left Firth Hall at 1.00am but many were seen heading to the Students’ Union to continue the party with today’s generation of students.
